Honeycomb Partition: Design Honeycomb using Origami Method
The honeycomb core using origami methods can be mass-produced at a low cost. It achieves carbon neutrality through weight reduction.
Design Honeycomb Utilizing the ability to create various shapes through origami techniques, we have developed a design partition with a honeycomb cross-section at a 45° angle. It has been found that this partition has various effects as described below: (1) It effectively blocks the line of sight from people in front. (2) While blocking people's line of sight, it allows light to come in, making the space bright and reducing feelings of oppression (similar to the effect of a one-way mirror). (3) The reflection of light allows objects on the other side to be perceived as shadows. (4) By eliminating panel surfaces, it improves ventilation. (5) By creatively designing the panels, insulation and soundproofing effects can be achieved. In the future, we will expand its applications in interior design and explore a wide range of designs, including colors and prints treated with anodizing.
